WILLIAM HAMILTON CALLED BY DEATH
Highly Esteemed C. & P. Conductor Died at Eleven Twenty
Last Night of Cancer After Long Illness

William Hamilton of Aten avenue, one of the best known and most esteemed C. & P. railway conductors, and a citizen of Wellsville who was universally admired, died at 20 minutes after 11 o'clock last night (October 23, 1911) from cancer. Mr. Hamilton had been ill for a long time. He is survived by his wife and one daughter. The funeral arrangements will be announced in Wednesday's edition of the Morning Tribune.

LAST SAD RITES

Funeral services over the remains of the late William Hamilton will be held from the home at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, Rev. John U. Niehoff, pastor of the Second Presbyterian church officiating. The funeral will be in charge of Wellsville lodge of Masons. Interment will be made in Spring Hill cemetery.

Mr. Hamilton was 40 years of age. He was born in Knoxville, Jefferson county and removed from Toronto to Wellsville in June, 1898, securing a position as conductor on the C. & P. He was one of the victims of the disastrous wreck at bridge 55 about eight years ago, sustaining injuries from which developed cancer. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity, Order of Railway Conductors and Second Presbyterian church.

Besides his wife and daughter, Miss Goldie the deceased is survived by five brothers, Thomas, Joseph of Knoxville, Claire and George of Toronto, and John Hamilton of Dennison.
