William Everson Macrum
William Everson Macrum, son of N. G. and Millie Everson Macrum, died at the residence of his parents, at 277 Second street, at 11:40 o'clock Friday night, after a short illness. He was born at Fair Oaks, Pa., August 9, 1870. Accompanied by his parents he came to this city in 1879. In his early manhood he held a position in the First National Bank of this city and later was employed as a bookkeeper at the old Wyllie pottery, now the Union pottery. Five years ago went to Pittsburg to accept the position of cashier of the Equitable Life Assurance society's Western Pennsylvania agency, which position he held until his death. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Masonic Lodge of this city, and also of Tancred Commandery, Knights Templar, of Pittsburg.
Everson was one of the most popular young men of this city, and wherever he went made friends on all sides by his gentlemanly manners and upright principles. His death draws expressions of sympathy from the entire community. The funeral, which was private, took place Tuesday from the home of his parents.
