W.C. Fowler Passed Away After
Lingering Illness
William C. Fowler, of Sixth street, died at his
home yesterday noon, after an illness of 10 months.
Death came as a result of stomach trouble.
Mr. Fowler was born near West Point October
8,1856, and has been a resident of East Liverpool
thirty years. He was employed at Goodwil's pottery as
a dipper, and held that position 17 years previous to
his sickness. He was a member of the dippers local
union. Two months after he as confined to his bed he
greatly improved, and was able for a short time to
walk out of doors. He was a member of the M.E.
church.
Deceased leaves four sisters and one
brother--Mrs. Isaac Huff, of Hancock county; Mrs.
George Mountford, of Simms addition; Mrs. Flora
Thompson, of West Market street; Mrs. John Rigby, of
Fifth street, and George Fowler, who resided with the
deceased.
The funeral services will be held at the house to
morrow at 2:30 p.m. The Dippers union will attend in
a body. Interment in Riverview cemetery.
