THOMAS M'NICOL WELL KNOWN POTTER DIES AT HIS HOME

Thomas H. McNicol, aged 49, an esteemed pottery man of East Liverpool, died yesterday afternoon (December 13, 1911) at 1 o'clock, after a six weeks' illness of typhoid fever. Although his death comes as a shock to his wide circle of friends, it was not entirely unexpected, as his condition was deemed critical almost from the beginning of his illness.

Mr. McNicol came to this city from Trenton, N. J., 17 years ago, and has always been connected with the pottery industry.

In 1904 he went to Crooksville, O., where he managed the Aetna China company of that place for three years, when, in 1907, he returned here and assumed the management of the Dresden pottery, which position he held at the time of his death.

He is also assistant treasurer of the Potters' Co-operative association and is a prominent member of East Liverpool lodge No. 258, B.P.O. Elks.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah, five sons, George W., Morton C., Lester B., Roland P., and Allen H.; two daughters, Elizabeth and Elsie; a sister, Mrs. H. A. McNicol, and his mother, Mrs. Emma McNicol. Funeral services will take place form the Sheridan avenue home on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
