OBITUARY - Susie McClosky
East Liverpool Tribune
Miss Susie McClosky, an adopted daughter of Mr. P. F. McClosky, died Sunday morning (October 4, 1903) at 9:30 o'clock, after a lingering illness of several months. She was attacked with bronchial trouble last spring, and has had the best of medical attention both in this city and from Pittsburg. The disease developed late a complication of stomach and catarrhal nature, which she did not have the physical strength to over come, and has been gradually nearing death's door for several weeks. She was a very lovable little girl of about 12 years of age, and was the idol of Mr. McClosky's home. Rev. Dr. M. B. Pratt was present when she died, and was making an impressive prayer at her bedside when she sank sweetly into a last long sleep. The pastor referred very touchingly to this death scene at the First M. E. church yesterday morning. The funeral arrangements have not been definitely determined, but will probably be held Tuesday afternoon from her late home, corner Center and Peach alley. Interment will be at Spring Grove cemetery.
