Seth Caldwell died very suddenly at 7:30 o'clock Monday morning (March 13, 1911) at the home of Harry Neigh, North Jefferson street, where he made his home, immediately following a stroke of apoplexy. He had arisen and was dressed and about to sit down to his breakfast when he was stricken.

Deceased was born in Fairfield township, near Columbiana, February 7, 1845, and has lived all of his life in this county. He was a son of the late James Caldwell and wife, former well-known residents of this county. For many years the deceased resided in Fairfield township, but since the death of his wife over a year ago, he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Harry Neigh. Last spring Mr. Neigh moved to this city from Salem and since that time the deceased has resided here.

Deceased was twice married and is survived by five children, John, of Canyon City, Texas; Joseph, of Cullford, and James D., Ollie and Mrs. Harry Neigh, all of this city.
