Obituary - Mrs. Sarah Ann Cochran

Mrs. Sarah Ann Cochran, a lifelong resident of the city, died at midnight (October 17, 1905) at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Amanda Drake, of Eighth street, West End. She was aged 79 years and death was due to a general breaking down of health. The funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Mrs. Cochran was the wife of the lade Davidson Cochran, and was the mother of eleven children, only five of whom still survive. The children living are: William H. Cochran, of this city; Mrs. Sarah Swisher, of Bellaire; Mrs. Margaret Parrish, and Mrs. Alice Brandon, of Wheeling, W.Va.; and Mrs. Amanda Drake, of this city.

Mrs. Cochran was a member of the First Methodist Episcopal church and lived a consistent Christian life. She was held in the highest esteem by all those with whom she came in personal contact.
