Mr. Samuel Hunter died at his home on Commerce Street yesterday at 10:45 a.m. Mr. Hunter has been ill for several months, having suffered a stroke of paralysis. During the last four days and up to the time of his death he lay in a comatose state and was unconscious of all surroundings. Mr. Hunter was one of our oldest and best citizens and will be much missed by those who knew him best. He was a stonemason by trade and a member of the Grand Army of the Republic. Deceased leaves a wife and a large family of children. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 o’clock p.m. from the house. The G.A.R. will take part in the services. McLean Bro’s have charge of the interment.
