Robert McFarland Green, 87, retired potter and a former resident of East Palestine, died today at 6 a.m. in the Gibbs Nursing Home in Wellsville, following a long illness. Mr. Green was born and spent his lifetime in Columbiana County. He was a kilnman and was employed by the W.S. George Co. pottery in East Palestine. He was a charter member of the Wellsville Lodge of Eagles. He leaves four sons, Frank A. Green of Beaver Falls, Otto G. Green of Sebring, Carl L. Green of Burbank, CA and R.E. Green of East Liverpool; a daughter, Mrs. H.C. Peterson of East Palestine; four brothers, Clem Green, Charles Green, Harry Green and Bert Green all of Fredericktown, and 13 grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Martin Funeral Home by Rev. David W. Skeen, pastor of the Orchard Grove Community Methodist Church. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call Friday night at the funeral home.

Note: His parents were Arthur and Isabella (McFarland) Green. He was born 10 January 1859 in Fredericktown. He married Mary Ramsey 29 September 1884 in Columbiana County.
