Rhoda N. Smoot, 86
CHESTER - Services will be held today for Rhoda N. Smoot, 86, of Louisana Avenue, who died Friday, July 3, 1998, at the Fox Nursing Home. She was born in Harrisville WV March 29, 1912, the daughter of Leonard and Sarah E. Hawingberry Rickey. A homemaker she had been a member of the Chester Church of the Nazarene since 1929.
Her husband, Waiter J. Smoot, whom she married March 30, 1932 died in 1980. She also was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs, Thomas (Eve) Dickey of Chester, Glenna Zwick of East Liverpool and Barbara Tranter of of Wellsville; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. The Rev, Tim Haynes of the church will conduct service at 1 P.M. at the Amer Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery. Monday, July 6, 1998.
