Mrs. Samuel Hart

SALINEVILLE - Rites for Mrs. Nelle V. Hart, 81, wife of Samuel Hart, 31 E. Main St., will be held Friday at 2 p. m. in the Kerr Funeral Home.

The Rev. James Overdorf of the Presbyterian Church, and the Rev. William C. Catlin of the United Presbyterian Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. She died Tuesday (May 24, 1955).

Mrs. Hart was a teacher in the Salineville schools before her marriage. She was the first president of the Ladies Civic Club, which she organized in 1937. She held the office until this year when she was made honorary president. She was the first matron of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter and in 1924 was deputy grand matron of the 13th district.

She was chairman of the Salineville Red Cross Chapter during World War I. She also was a member of the Salineville Board of Education for several years, and Cable Rebekah lodge.

The Eastern Star will hold services for Mrs. Hart Thursday at 8 p. m. in the funeral home. Friends may call also Thursday night.
