After an illness of several weeks, Mrs. P.J. Coburn died of pneumonia at her home north of town, (Onslow, Iowa), Friday morning, April 17, 1896. This is a deep sad death, removing from the scenes of Earth one of our dearest friends, and leaving a husband and four small boys to mourn the loss of an affectionate mother. Mrs. Coburn was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Paul Sr. and was born on the Homestead east of town Oct. 28, 1861 and on Sept. 6, 1881 was married to Mr. P. J. Coburn of this place. She became a member of the Presbyterian church while yet a young woman and has ever lived a true christian life. The funeral occurred Sunday morning and after the services the remains, followed by a large concourse of sympathetic friends, was taken to the Wyoming Cemetery and there interred.

Note: Mrs. P.J. Coburn was the former Nina Paul.
