Mrs. Margaret Davis, wife of the late Job L. Davis of St. Clair Township, died last night at her home near Calcutta from a complication of diseases. Deceased was born September 30, 1844, near Fredericktown and all her life had resided in St. Clair Township, and was a member of the Christian church at Fredericktown. She is survived by one son, Attorney J.E. Davis of East End; two step-children, Thomas Davis of Pittsburgh and Mrs. Clever Woolam of near Calcutta, and three sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held on Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock from her home. Rev. E.P. Wise, pastor of the local Christian church, officiating. Interment in Riverview Cemetery.
Note: sisters were Isabella McFarland Green, Barbara Alice McFarland Dawson, Susan McFarland Mahaffie, and Frances McFarland. Brother was Andrew Smull McFarland.
