Obituary - Mrs. Jane Steele

Mrs. Jane Steele, aged 58 years, died yesterday (October 30, 1905) morning at her home in West Market street after a long illness. Several months ago she underwent an operation from which she did not fully recover. Funeral services will be held from the home on Wednesday afternoon. Interment will be made in Spring Grove cemetery. The services will be conducted by the Rev. J. W. Foster, of Steubenville. Mrs. Steele was a native of Burslem, England but had been a resident of this city, for 30 years. She was the widow of Thomas Steele, a well known potter, who died 16 years ago. She was a member of the St. Stephen's Episcopal church and was highly respected. She is survived by several children.
