Mrs. Daniel L. Smith, who lived some three miles out of the city and to the north of the East End, died at 2 o’clock this morning, after a lengthy illness at the advanced age of 73 years. She leaves eight children – four sons, residing in this city. They are Thomas, Jeff, Ben and Joseph Smith. Deceased’s husband died some seven years since. The funeral occurs at 11 o’clock Sunday from “No. 9” school – the service taking place, however, at Long’s Run Presbyterian Church.
Note: Clarinda Smith was the daughter of Joseph and Nancy Bolan/Boland Green. Her daughters were Isabelle Smith Allison, Flora Smith, Laura Smith Dobbs Stein, and Jennetta Smith Borris. Also there was a son Monteville Mackall not mentioned.
