Mrs. William Bailey, 58, died Friday (March 5, 1937) at 12:30 p.m. at her home here after a three week illness. Mrs. Bailey was formerly Miss Minnie Mae Javens and was born February 2, 1878 near Freedom, PA.
She is survived by her husband and three sons, Harry, George and Charles Bailey all of this place and five sisters, Mrs. Bertha Miller and Mrs. Esther Webster of New Cumberland, Mrs. Mary Jane Koehler of Rochester, PA, Mrs. Dora Dickey and Miss Gladys Bailey of Wellsville.
Funeral services were held at her late home on Newman Hill on Monday with Rev. I. J. Howland officiating. Mrs. Leah Dunlevy and Mrs. Ruth Jones sang several beautiful numbers which were very much appreciated.
Those attending the services from out of town, including relatives and friends were: Mr. Walter Javens and sons Walter
And Nelson; Mrs. and Mrs. Kemper Grimsley, Mr. and Mrs. Lon Polain, Mrs. Pear McFarland and son Harvey, Mr. William Morgan, Mr. Chester Javens, Mr. Bob Javens, all of Beaver Falls, PA; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Javens and children; grandchildren Kathryn, Lenore and Ernest Koehler, Jr., Mrs. Renna (Laurenna Bailey) Noss, Mrs. Blanche Roush, all of Freedom, PA and Miss Gladys Bailey of East Liverpool, Mr. Gilbert Chapman of East Liverpool, Miss Lillie Holsinger, Miss Naomi Holsinger, Bridgewater, PA, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Dickerson and children of Wellsville, OH. Interment was made in the local cemetery (New Cumberland Cemetery).
