Michael Cassidy, aged 65 years, died at the home of his son Joseph Cassidy, 123 Avondale street at 5 o'clock Saturday afternoon (January 9, 1904) after an illness of but a few hours. Death was attributed to Paralysis of the heart. The deceased was well known in this city and had a host of friends among the potters and in other circles in which he moved. The news of his death was a shock to all his acquaintances.

He is survived by several children, two of whom, Joseph and Peter, live in the city. It was with the former that the deceased made his home. Mr. Cassidy was a member of the St. Aloysius Catholic church where the funeral services will be conducted by Father Mahon, Tuesday morning. Interment in the Catholic cemetery.
