Obituary - Mrs. Mary Ann Benner
East Liverpool Tribune

The death of Mrs. Mary Ann Benner occurred at her home on South Park avenue here at 5:30 o'clock Sunday evening (June 11, 1911), following an illness of twelve weeks, death being due to a general breaking down of the system and the infirmities attendant upon old age. Deceased was born on a farm west of Lisbon more than eighty-four years ago and was a daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Miller, well-known pioneer residents of this vicinity. In early life she was united in marriage with J. F. Benner and they located in this city where Mr. Benner engaged in the jewelry business, in which business he was still engaged at the time of his death in 1896. Mrs. Benner has for many years been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, and so long as her health would permit was a regular attendant at all the services. She was most highly regarded by the entire community.

Deceased is survived by three children, F. M. Benner, Mrs. Mary Wisden and Mrs. Lou Grey, all of this city, and one sister, Mrs Kittie Luckey of Elmore, Ohio. Funeral arrangements have not as yet been made.
