MRS. M'CARRON DROPPED DEAD ON THE STREET
Sudden Attack of Apoplexy Was the Cause
BURIAL TO BE MADE HERE

Death came in a very sudden form to Mrs. Martha McCarron, who dropped unconscious while walking along Grant street about 9:45 Tuesday morning (February 16, 1904), and expired within a few moments without regaining consciousness, says the New Castle News. She had started from her home to the residence of her sister-in-law, Mrs. John McCarron and her lifeless body was within a few moments carried to the destination for which the unfortunate woman had set out a little earlier.

It was a distressing case and the affected husband has the sympathy of all in his bereavement. The family had only removed here from East Liverpool eight days before and had little more than become settled in a dwelling on Jefferson and Grant streets, where they were doing light housekeeping.

Mrs. McCarron was on her way to the home of John McCarron and had reached the intersection of Grant and Elm streets when she reeled and fell. Persons who saw her drop to the pavement rushed to her assistance and carried her into the home of S. N. Fulkerson, where everything possible was done to revive her. It was of no avail and she expired within a very few moments.

Apoplexy was the cause of dissolution. The husband, who is foreman of the glazing department of the Shenango pottery plant, was notified and his grief was great. The shock was most sudden, as when he left home that morning his wife had appeared to be in perfect health.

She was in her 28th year and was a daughter of Mrs. Mary McKeever, of East Liverpool. Her father died there some years ago. In addition to her mother and husband, she leaves one son, 9 year-old George. She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: William, John, Michael McKeever, Mrs. Mary Deshler, and Mrs. Kate Koch, all of East Liverpool, and Mrs. Anna Orr an Daniel McKeever, of East Palestine.

Mrs. McCarron was a member of St. Mary's church of this city. Previously she had been a member a the Catholic church of East Liverpool, from where the funeral services will take place Thursday morning at 9 o'clock. Interment at the same place. The remains were shipped to East Liverpool, Tuesday afternoon.
