Week's Illness Claims Widow
Martha Blackmore's Rites To Be Thursday

Mrs. Martha Blackmore, widow of Frank L. Blackmore, 1625 Holliday St., died Monday at 9:40 p.m. in City Hospital following a week's illness. She was 70.

Mrs. Blackmore was born in Philadelphia, a daughter of Thomas Clearwater and Elizabeth Clearwater, formerly of Smiths Ferry. She lived in East Liverpool for 10 years. She was a sister of the late William Clearwater, a former world's pocket billiard champion. He husband died Nov. 11, 1938.

She leaves four sons, Clifford Blackmore and Burdell Blackmore of Smiths Ferry, Jesse Blackmore of East Liverpool, and Dawson Blackmore of Dayton; a brother, Edward Clearwater of Ravenna, and seven grandchildren.

Rites will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the Martin Funeral Home by Rev. M. Rudolph Miller, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at Ravenna.

Friends may call Wednesday night at the funeral home.
