Obituary - Mrs. Maria Ball

Mrs. Maria Ball, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. B. F. Garrigues in Kensington, Friday afternoon (September 8, 1911) at 4:30 o'clock, following an illness of several months. For more than a year Mrs. Ball had been failing and last May she was seized with a severe stroke of Paralysis from which she never recovered. Deceased had she lived until the 18th day of October would have been 87 years old. She was born in Butler township, her maiden name being Maria Shisler, and is the last of a family of twelve children. Deceased was twice married, both husbands having preceded her in death. Of the first marriage two children were born, the late Galen A. Sheets, whose death occurred in this city four years ago while he was serving as county auditor, and Mrs. Garrigues at whose home the death of Mrs. Ball occurred. All of her life Mrs. Ball had resided in Columbiana county and for many years she had been a resident of the western part of the county. She was most highly respected by all who knew her, and her acquaintances were many. Mrs. Howard Bye, of Lisbon, is a granddaughter of deceased. The funeral will take place from the home of Mrs. Garriques on Monday morning at 9 o'clock and burial will be made at North Georgetown.
