Obituary - Mrs. Lucy Jones McDaniel

Mrs. Lucy Jones McDaniel died early yesterday (September 29, 1905) morning at her home, 123 Ohio avenue, East End, after a lingering illness of many months of diabetes. She is survived by her daughter, Miss Bertha, with whom she lived, and two sons, J. William McDaniel, of Cunningham, Kansas ad Jess F. McDaniel, of Mt. Washington, Pittsburg. She was born in West Virginia July 28, 1843, and had lived in that state until the death of her husband, George McDaniel, 24 years ago. She later removed to Kansas which was her home until three years ago when she came to East Liverpool. Her son William arrived from Kansas Thursday evening in response to a message stating his mother's illness.

Mrs. McDaniel was a member of the Untied Brethren church and was a consistent Christian woman. The funeral will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home where she has resided since taking up her residence in this city. The Rev. N. M. Crowe of the Second Presbyterian church will have charge of the services. On the 4 o'clock train the remains will be sent to her former home in Kansas where interment will be made in the cemetery where lie the remains of other members of the McDaniel family.
