Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. a the Haugh Roberts Funeral Home in Wellsville for Lloyd R. (Butch) Swearingen, 75, of the Old Salineville Rd., Wellsville, a World War I Navy veteran.

He died Thursday (June 7, 1973) at 5 a.m. at home after a long illness.

He was born in Yellow Creek Township March 19, 1898,a son of Charles G. and Anna B. McBane Swearingen. He was a self employed coal operator for 40 years. Mr. Swearingen belonged to the Oak Ridge United Presbyterian Church and the VFW Post of Alliance.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Erma Dennis Swearingen, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Skip (Vera) Beech of Maitland, Fla.; a son, Lloyd (Buck) Swearingen of Wellsville RD1; two brothers, George Swearingen of Wellsville RD! and Walter Swearingen of the Old Irondale Rd., and five grandchildren.

The Rev. Robert Shondelmayer of the Wellsville Christian Church will conduct the Sunday services. Burial will be in Highlandtown Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday afternoon and night.
