East Liverpool Tribune

Miss Lizzie McCormick, and aged and most highly respected resident of Madison township all of her life, died at the home of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Mathew Ketchum, near West Beaver church, where she had made her home for the past four years. For the past year the deceased had not been in the best of health but was able to be about the house until a week ago following her return from a visit to the home of her brother, Isaiah McCormick, of this city, where she had spent two weeks. From that time she gradually declined until death came, death being due to old age and a general breaking down.

Deceased as born on the old McCormick homestead farm in Madison township, near to the farm on which her death occurred at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning (July 5, 1911). She was a daughter of the late John and Martha McCormick, highly respected pioneer residents of Madison township, and was about 70 years old. She is survived by two brothers and two sisters: Isaiah McCormick, of Lisbon and James McCormick, of Highlandtown, and Mrs. William Gooderel, and Mrs. Matthew Ketchum, of Madison township. Deceased had for many years been a faithful and consistant member of the West Beaver church, where the funeral will occur at 10 o'clock Friday morning, the Rev. Mr. Henderson, the pastor officiating. Interment will be made in the West Beaver cemetery.
