Leonard S. Icenhower
Leonard S. Icenhower, 55, of 753 Valley Ave., an
employee of the Midland Crucible Division of Colt
Industries, died this morning at 1:40 am at City
Hospital after a six-month illness.
He was born in Portland, Ohio Feb. 14, 1915, a son of
Homer Icenhower of Portland and the late Zora McDole
Icenhower.
He had resided in this vicinity for 18 years and
worked as a checker at the Midland plant for the same
period. He was a member of the Prayer Temple and local
1212, United Steel workers of America.
In addition to his father, he
is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mildred Johnston
Icenhower whom he married Oct 3, 1937;
two sons Larry Icenhower of East Liverpool, and Silas
Icenhower at home. two daughters Mrs. Noah (Virgie)
Cook of East Liverpool, and Miss Mary Icenhower at
home; four half-brothers, Lewis Icenhower
and Ray Icenhower both of East Liverpool, Ralph
Icenhower of Negley, and Clifford Icenhower of
Pomeroy; a half-sister Mrs. Robert (Helen) Jefries of
Syracuse, Ohio and four grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 2pm at the Martin
Funeral Home by the Rev. Harry Lane
Burial will be in Calcutta United Presbyterian
Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday and
Sunday afternoon and night.
