JOSEPH HILL DEATH

Joseph Hill, one of the pioneer farmers of Center township, died at 2:15 o'clock Thursday morning (March 16, 1911) at his home, one mile out Hephner hollow. About 7 o'clock Wednesday morning Mr. Hill, who had been n fairly good health, was suddenly stricken with paralysis, and so severe was the stroke that he never regained consciousness.

Deceased was born December 1, 1834, on a farm north of Salem, near the Mahoning county line and lived all of his life in Columbiana county. On September 6, 1862 he was untied in marriage with Miss Amelia Morley, and they began housekeeping on the farm out Hephner hollow, where they have ever since resided. Mr. Hill was all of his life an industrious, enterprising farmer, who bore the respect and esteem of the entire community. He is survived by his wife, four daughters and two sons, as follows: Miss Minnie, at home; Mrs. Howard Welch, Lisbon; Mrs. Sadie Shive, west of Lisbon; Mrs. Cora Anderson, near Dungannon; Norman, of Washingtonville, and Sanford, at home. He is also survived by one brother, John Hill, of this city, and two sisters, Mrs. Catherine Desellem, Wayne township, and Mrs. Mollie Hartman, who resides at the Hill home.

Funeral services will be held at 12 o'clock Saturday from the home and will be conducted by the Rev. F. L. Dunbar, of he Methodist Episcopal church.
