Obituary - Joseph F. Herron

Joseph F. Herron, died Saturday (October 28, 1905) at 9:30 a.m. from heart trouble and asthma, at his home, 107 Wall street. He was 74 years of age and had spent the greater part of his life in the vicinity of East Liverpool, and had lived in the city for about eight years.

The deceased was born in Ohioville. He had always followed farming and shoemaking and was in the later trade during his residence in East Liverpool. He enlisted in the "Roundheads" regiment of Pennsylvania and served four years and three months during the war of the rebellion, taking part in a number of the great battles of the war. Mr. Herron was a member of Gen. Lyon Post G. A. R.

The following seven children survive him: Grant, Harvey W., John, Mrs. Wm. DeArnold, Mrs. Bird Reed, Mrs. Ernest O'Brien, and Miss Fay, all of whom reside in this city.

The funeral services will be conducted y Rev. Dr. J. C. Taggart at the home at 10:30 o'clock this morning. The interment will be in Salem cemetery, near Black Hawk, Pa.
