John W. Skinner
Salineville - John W. Skinner, 59, of North st., life-long resident of Salineville, died in the Ohio Valley hospital in Steubenville Tuesday noon (Feb. 22, 1938) following an operation.
MR. Skinner was born here and was engaged in the tinning and plumbing business. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and was also affiliated with the Masonic, Knights of Pythias and I.O.O.F. lodges. He was also the local agent for the Columbiana County Mutual Insurance Co.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ella Dorrance Skinner; one son, John at home; two daughters, Grace of Steubenville and Helen, at home, one brother, William of Salineville and three sisters, Mrs. Olive Eoff of Steubenville, Mrs. Mary Lewis of East Palestine and Miss Alyce Skinner of Salineville.
Funeral services will be held in the Methodist Episcopal church Friday at 2 p. m. in charge of Rev. G. R. Sweeney, the pastor, assisted by Rev. Paul Carter of Orrville, a former pastor. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery.
