John Pierson
John C Pierson, 57, of Summitville, died today at 8:15 a.m. at home,
after an illness of two years. A World War II veteran, Mr. Pierson was
born in Salineville March 3 1921, a son of Arthur Pierson and Frances
Madison Pierson. He worked as a crane operator at the Elger Company in
Salem. He was a member of the American Legion Post 442 in Salineville.
In addition to his widow, Mrs. Wilma G Pierson at home, survivors
include three sons, John Michael Pierson, Earl Dennis Pierson, and James
Patrick Pierson, all of Salem, three daughters, Mrs. Janet Lee May of
Kennsington, Mrs. Patricia Ann Wickersham of Minerva and Mrs. Sharon
Francine Kenst of Salem, a brother James McCullough, a sister, Mrs.
Glenna Davis, both of Holt, MI and 12 grandchildren.
Services will be
held Saturday at 2 pm from the Manning funeral home in Salineville by
Mike Hazelton, pastor of the Church of Christ. Burial will be in
Woodland cemetery, Salineville. Friends may call at the funeral home
Friday afternoon and evening.
