Jesse L. Kerr, 87, a retired Pennsylvania Railroad Company employee and father of Frank Kerr of Alliance, died Sunday morning at the home of his daughter Mrs. Thomas (Hannah) Harmon in Massillon after a lingering illness.
Mr. Kerr was formerly a ticket agent at the Pennsylvania Railroad station in Salem, retiring in 1930.
He is also survived by another daughter, Mrs. Inez Rich of St. Paul, Minn., and 13 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. His wife, Rose Greenamyer Kerr, died three years ago.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Arbaugh-Pierce Funeral Home in Salem. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Harmon residence in Massillon. Interment will be made in Damascus.
