Jeremiah Cole died Tuesday night (April 11, 1911) at the family home on North Beaver street from the infirmities of old age. Deceased had been in ill health for the past ten years and for seven had been confined to the house. His was a son of John and Elizabeth Sherbine Cole, early settlers in Lisbon, and was past 78 years of age. About a week ago John d. Cole a brother of deceased died of pneumonia and two days later a sister, Miss Susan, also passed away, both deaths occurring in the home. One sister left in the home is very seriously ill and her death is looked for at almost any time.

Deceased was a soldier in the civil war, and was well known by all the old residents of Lisbon. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mary Christy, in the home and Mrs. Ailes who resides in Iowa.
