MRS. JENNIE STEWART
Mrs. Jennie Leeper Stewart, 79, of 145 Carolina Ave., Chester, former clerk of the D. M. Ogilvie Co., died Friday at 4:30 p.m. at the Fox Nursing Home, where she had been a patient two years.
Mrs. Stewart, widow of Clyde V. Stewart, was born in Hookstown March 9, 1889, and had worked at Ogilvie's for 20 years, retiring two years ago. She was a member of the Chester First United Presbyterian Church and it Altheorian Class, the Grange in New Manchester and the East Liverpool Senior Citizens Group.
She is survived by two sons, Carl Stewart of Chester, RD 1 and Hugh Stewart of Hoxsie, R.I.; a brother Robert H. Leeper of Aliquippa, and five grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Welch Funeral Home in Hookstown by the Rev. Alexander C. Wilson of Burgettstown, former pastor of the Hookstown United Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 today and Sunday afternoon and night.
