James T. Buchanan, 86
East Liverpool- James T Buchanan, 86, of Erie Street, died at 1:30 a. m.
today, Dec. 29, 1993, at the Ross Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
He was born March 11, 1907, in Wirt County, W. Va., a son of the late
Charles and Naomi I Pierson Buchanan.
A resident of East Liverpool most of his lifetime, Mr. Buchanan was a
retired crane operator at the Patterson Foundry. He was a member of the
Friendship Gospel Tabernacle Church and was a social member of the
American Legion post 374 and Moose Lodge 122.
His wife, Anna Wallace Buchanan, died in 1968. He also was preceded in
death by four sisters and nine brothers. He is survived by a
granddaughter, Anna Morgan, with whom he lived; a foster son, Joseph
Smitha, with whom he lived; and a grandson.
The Rev. Charles Taylor of the church is to conduct services at 3 p.m.
Friday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Burial is to be in Longs Run
Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home an hour before the
services.
