James Starr died at his home on North Market street Thursday afternoon (April 20, 1911), after an illness covering several months, of a general breaking down, which was due to old age. Deceased was a son of the late James Star, who was one of the pioneer resident of Lisbon and was born on August 25, 1837,in the old Starr homestead where his death occurred and where he has lived all of his life. Since the death of his brother, William, four years ago, deceased has lived alone in the home, and was the last surviving member of the family. He is survived by but one nephew, William Starr, of Alliance, who has been at his bedside for several days. The funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock form the home, the Rev. J. B. Ricketts of the United Presbyterian church, officiating.
