Obituary - James Smith

James. A. Smith, aged 67 years, died at his home Tuesday (July 11, 1911) after a short illness. Deceased prior to his coming to this city was a resident of New Cumberland for 30 years. He was a soldier in the civil war, enlisting with Co. A. 22nd Iowa Volunteer Infantry. He was well and favorably known and has a host of close friends both here and in New Cumberland.
Deceased is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. Jas. McCarron, Mrs. C. Fryman, Mrs. G. W. Long, all of this city; George R. Smith, Mrs. A. M. David, East Steubenville; Mrs. Loren Long, New Cumberland; Mrs. Bert Little, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held from the family homestead in New Cumberland, W. Va., this afternoon at 2 o'clock.
