James M Pierson
James M Pierson, boss sawyer at the J F Billingsley saw mill, on Beaver
Creek, died Saturday evening at his home near Island Run. Mr. Pierson
was born at Monaca, PA in 1841. He served for four years of the Civil
War as a member of the first West Virginia Volunteer infantry. Mr.
Pierson removed last spring from Elizabeth, W VA., and resided in East
Liverpool for a time, occupying a house in Dasiey alley. he is survived
by two sons. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow from the Long
run (sic) Presbyterian church and interment will be made there.
