This well known resident of St. Clair township died yesterday morning (December 2, 1903) at 3 o'clock. He had not been in good health for some months, but the immediate cause of his death was acute kidney trouble, of about 24 hours duration. Deceased was a brother of the late Hon. A. H. McCoy. Wm. McCoy, of Kirkwood, Ills; Cassius M and George H. of St Clair township and Mrs. S. J. Young, of Black Hawk, Pa. and Mrs. Mary A. Harvey of Chicago, Ills. He was about 57 years of age, unmarried, and has always lived in St. Clair township, where he was born. The funeral will take place from the residence of his brother, George H. McCoy, Saturday afternoon Dec. 6. The remains will be taken to the Calcutta United Presbyterian church where services will be held, conducted by Rev. J. C. Taggart of this city. Interment will be made at the cemetery adjoining the church.
