JAMES HEADLEY

James Edward Headley, former Wellsville meat cutter, died Friday morning at the Griffin Rest Home in Wellsville, where he had been a patient three weeks. He was 78.

Headley resided with a daughter, Mrs. Beulah Williams in Hillcrest, for the past five years. A native of New Castle, he spent the greater part of his life in East Liverpool and was employed for many years at the former Kountz Meat Market.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Olive Gaultier of Akron, and Mrs. Ila Francis of Wellsburg; a son, Wilbur Headley of Cabazon, Calif,; three sisters, Mrs. Blanche Galloway and Mrs. Alice Starkey of East Liverpool, and Mrs. Ida Mercer of Wellsville; five brothers, Fred Headley of Wellsville, and Charles Headley, Lewis Headley, Joseph Headley and DeVern Headley of East Liverpool, and 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the MacLean Funeral Home at the Mac-H. W. Applegate of the Power Point Nazarene Church. Burial will be in Highlandtown Cemetery.

Friends may call tonight and Sunday at the funeral home at Wellsville.
