James Allen Bailey, 67, died at 12:05 a.m. today (July 24, 1962) at his home, 309 North Sixth Street., following an illness of six month from a heart disease.
Born April 16, 1895 at New Cumberland, WV he was the son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Wolf) Bailey. He was married three times. His last marriage was March 4, 1961 to Rose Bible, who survives him.
Mr. Bailey, a former pottery worker, was a veteran of World War I.
Surviving in addition to the widow are a daughter, Violet, whose place of residence is unknown; three brothers, John of Coshocton, Ray of Weirton, WV and Benjamin of New Cumberland; a sister, Mrs. Roy (Ada) Holsinger of Minerva; four step-son and two step-daughters and 14 step-children.
Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Glass funeral home by Rev. Richard Forsythe. Burial will be in South Lawn Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and until time of services Thursday.
