DEATH CLAIMS H. M. ALLISON
Homer M. Allison, 71, of Shippingport, died Friday night at the
Oakland Veterans Hospital at Pittsburgh after a long illness.
Mr. Allison was born May 5, 1893, at Georgetown to the late Henry
Allison and Ada McClurg Allison. He was a trucking contractor and an
honorary member of the Shippingport fire department. He was a veteran
of World War I.
Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Mary Drake, a son Homer Duane Allison,
a step-son, Eugene Russell, and two step-daughters, Mrs. Ruth Marker
and Mrs. Nancy Campbell, all of Shippingport; five brothers, Archie
A. Allison of Hookstown, Frank Allison, Harry Allison and John
Allison, all of Georgetown R. D. 1, and Charles Allison of
Shippingport; three sisters, Mrs. Helen McCombs of Hollidays Cove,
Mrs. Mary Wright of Lawrenceville and Mrs. Belle Morrow of
Shippingport, and three grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the Welch Funeral Home
at Hookstown. Burial will be in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight and Sunday from
2 to 4 and 7 to 10 p.m.
