Hiram Dunn
Services will be held Wednesday for Hiram N Dunn, 57, of Logan Ave.,
Mingo Junction, who died at 11:10 p.m. Sunday in Mercy Hospital in
Pittsburgh following an extended illness.
Mr. Dunn was born in Lonaconing, Md. June 27, 1921. a son of the late
Hiram N. Dunn Sr.
A World War II veteran, he was employed in the cold strip shipping
department of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel.
Survivors include his wife, Garnet Simmons Dunn, at home, whom he
married March 5, 1955 in Mingo Junction; two sons, Russel Dunn of
Steubenville and Hiram Dunn III of Ocean Side, Calif.; five sisters, Mrs.
William Summerville of Wintersville, Mrs. Margaret Long of Follansbee, Mrs.
Jane Quarterson of New Castle, Mrs. Elizabeth Scott of Steubenville, and
Mrs. James Clark of Virginia Beach, two brothers, John Dunn of Canton and
Ornel Dunn of Clark Lake, Mich., and four grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. from the Arner Funeral Chapel with the
Rev. Riley Lawrence of the Newell Church of the Nazarene officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon and evening where
the family will be present from 2 to 4 p.m.and 7 to 9 p.m.
