Harry L. Simmons

Harry L. Simmons, 53, who resided at the rear of 1052 St. Clair Ave., a warehouse forman at Homer Laughlin China Co. Plants 6 and 7, died Friday morning (July 2, 1965) at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a five week illness.

A World War II veteran. Mr. Simmons was born in Warwick, Ohio, Dec. 11, 1911. the son of Mrs. Lillie Bloor Simmons, who resides in Newell, and the late Hugh James Simmons. He lived in the community for 45 years. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, American Legion Post 374 and VFW Post 66.

In addition to his mother, he leaves his widow, Mrs. Kathleen Simmons, at home; two sons. Robert L. Simmons of San Diego, Calif., and Monte Simmons, at home; three brothers, Lonnie Simmons, Ray (Doc) Simmons and Hughie Simmons, all of Newell, and four sisters, Mrs. Opal Sadler of Los Angeles, Mrs. Stonewall (Virginia Marie) Bowen And Mrs. Andrew Springer, both of Newell, and Mrs. Hamilton (Garnett) Drum of Mingo Junction.

Services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at the East Liverpool Arner Home for Funerals by the Rev. Claude G. Schlosser. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery near Chester.

Friends may call at the funeral home today and Sunday.
