Harry 'Shorty' Crawford, 78
WELLSVILLE - Services will be held Tuesday for Harry 'Shorty' Crawford, 78, of the Y & O Road, who died Friday
evening, August 5, 1994, at the Salem Community Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born in Fredericktown November 3, 1915, a son of the late George S. and May L. Geer Crawford.
A lifelong resident of the Wellsville area, her was a construction laborer at the Sammie Plant of the Ohio Edison Co. before retiring in 1973. He was a veteran of service with the U. S. Army. He was Protestant by faith and was a member of American Legion Post 70 and the Yellow Creek Grange.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel D. Martin Crawford, whom he married May 16, 1942; a brother, Walter H. Crawford of East Liverpool; and three sisters, Mary M. Perry of Leetonia, Oliver Potts of Wellsville and Martha Kling of California.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Evangelist Will Montgomery of the St. Clair Avenue Church of Christ will conduct the services at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Martin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
