Obituary - George W. Brown

George W. Brown, a former well know citizen of Chester, died at 4:45 o'clock yesterday morning (November 10, 1911) at his home in Ashland, Ky., resulting form blood poisoning. Some time ago Mr. Brown was run down by an automobile while he was riding a bicycle. One of his legs was broken and blood poisoning set in. Amputation was made, but too late to check the progress of the disease.
After five years' residence in Chester, Mr. Brown removed to Ashland, three years ago. He was 58 years of age, and besides his wife is survived by the following children by his first marriage and five younger children by a second marriage: David and Charles, and Mrs. A. B. Winkle, of Chester, Wayne, of New Castle, Pa.; Marion, of Ashland. The remains will be taken to Parkersburg, W. Va., a former home city of the deceased, where the funeral services and burial will be made. The funeral arrangements have not been completed. David Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Arch Winkle left last night to attend the funeral.
