Mrs. Frances Salsgiver

Mrs. Frances Irene Anderson Salsgiver, died today (September 23, 1957) at 8:10 a. m. in City Hospital as the result of a heart attack following an operation. She was 56.

Mrs. Salsgiver, who had resided in Wellsville since Nov. 1, 1955, was graduated from Muskingham College in 1924 and was a high school teacher in Butler County, Pa., for 17 years before coming to Wellsville. She was a past matron of Chicora, Pa., Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, and a member of Bethia Southwick Chapter, D.A.R., and the First Presbyterian Church of Wellsville.

In addition to her husband, she leaves a son, James Glenn Salsgiver of Youngstown; a sister, Mrs. Alva Dickey of Wellsville, and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m. in the Haugh Funeral Home in Wellsville by the Rev. Phillip Fletcher, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Highlandtown Cemetery.

Friends may call Tuesday from 7 to p. m. at the funeral home.
