Obituary - F. K. Hawkins

Lisbon, Sept. 4 - F. K. Hawkins, who has been seriously ill for the past two weeks at his home in Elkton, died at midnight Sunday night (September 4, 1911) of a complication of diseases. For some time past Mr. Hawkins had been failing and two weeks ago was forced to take his bed. Deceased was one of the best known men in this section of the county. He was born on the old Hawkins farm 66 years ago and was a son of the late John Hawkins and wife of this city. In early life he was united in marriage with Miss Cynthia Huffman, who with the following children survives: Mrs. Bertha Eaton, of Avalon, Pa., Mrs. Helen Tullis, of Elkrun township, Alvin X. Hawkins, Ralph Hawkins and Paul Hawkins all at home. One sister and three brothers also survive as follows: Mrs. Maria Newhouse, of Salem, Gailard Hawkins, of Nebraska, Leonidas and Marcellus Hawkins both of Salem. For many years the deceased has conducted a general store in the village of Elkton.
Funeral services will take place from the home in Elkton on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, and burial will be made in the Lisbon cemetery.
