Estella Ruth Shuman, 81
East Liverpool- Estella Ruth Shuman, 81, of St. George Street went to be
with her Lord Wednesday morning Aug. 16, 2006, at her home following a
lengthy illness.
Born in East Liverpool April 13 1925, daughter of the late Luther J and
Estella Ethridge Woodward, she was a member of the Avondale Baptist Church.
A lifelong resident of the area, she had worked at one time for Hall
China CO., the former Fiorello’s Market and Columbia Gas.
Her husband, Paul Shuman, preceded her in death in 1984. One nephew
preceded her in death as well.
Two daughters, Mrs. James (Sherry) Palmer and Mrs. Charles (Paula) Click
Jr. of East Liverpool, and two sons, Forrest L. Shuman at home and Allen
B. Shuman and his wife, Anetta, of East Liverpool, survive.
A brother, Luther E. “Woody” Woodward of East Liverpool, also survives.
There are 10 grandchildren, Candace Wooten and her husband, Ray,
Terriann E. Shuman Mederios, William Paul Shuman, Brett Austin Smith,
Kristopher L. Shuman, Tiffany Wright, Keith Click, Kevin Click and
Sherri Curran and Tina Curran.
Nine great grandchildren, Allen-Michael Wooten, Desirae Wooten, D’errica
Wooten, Marius Thompkins, Krista Medeiros, Kaden Medeiros, Cheyenne
Shuman, Christopher Chavis and Sharnae Wilson also survive. In addition,
there are six nieces and many great nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday at the Dawson Funeral Home, where the family
will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. The Rev. Edgar Tanley will
conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson
Family Center for fellowship.
