Mrs. Essie McCafferty, aged 24 years, wife of Tracy McCafferty of New Cumberland, was called by death at the East Liverpool City hospital at 6:00 o'clock last evening (July 5, 1911), following a five months illness. Death was directly due to peritonitis. Deceased was taken to the hospital early yesterday morning and underwent an operation at 9 o'clock.

Besides her husband, deceased is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. F. Knisely of Grant street, Newell, two sons, Frederick and Robert; four brothers, Archie of East End, John Arthur and Harry of Newell; and three sisters, Misses Ethel, Mary and Virgie, also of Newell.

He body was removed to the home of the parents on Grant street, in Todd's ambulance last evening, and brief services will be held over the remains at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The remains will then be shipped to New Cumberland on the 3:35 train, and services will be held from the late home in that city at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Interment will be made in the New Cumberland cemetery, Rev. H. H. Giles of the First Presbyterian church of Newell will officiate the services here.
