Ex-Farmer Claimed At 72

Ernest McKenzie's Rites At Salineville

Ernest J. McKenzie, 72, of the Salineville - Irondale Rd., a retired farmer, died Monday (October 14, 1957) afternoon at 1:15 at City Hospital after a week's illness.

Born June 6, 1885, in Jefferson County, he was a son of the late Laughlin and Catherine McKenzie. He was a member and elder of the Presbyterian Church and of the Brush Creek Grange.

Besides his wife, Mrs. Bessie McKenzie at home, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Martha Baumgartner of Rocky River; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Dever of East Cleveland; a brother, Floyd McKenzie of Steubenville, and three foster daughters, Mrs. Norma Ralston of Paris, Pa., and Mrs. June Bettridge and Mrs. Norma Allen, foth of East Liverpool, and two grandchildren.

Services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2, EST, at the Kerr Funeral Home at Salineville with the Rev. E. E. Bacon of the Presbyterain Church in charge, assisted by the Rev. William Catlin of the United Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.

Friends may call tonight and Wednesday at the funeral home.
