Chester Area Widow Taken

Mrs. Elizabeth Howell, 71, of the Chester-Newell Rd., widow of John Howell, died Thursday, October 26, 1956, at 1:10 p. m. in City Hospital, following a several months' illness.

Mrs. Howell was born in St. Marys, W.Va., and resided in Hancock County for 55 years. She was employed as a finisher at the Taylor Smith and Taylor co. for more than 30 years.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Chester, the Willing Workers Class and the Rebekah Lodge and an honorary member of IBOP Local 53.

She leaves two step-sons, Charles Howell and Wilbert Howell, both of East Liverpool; two brothers, John W. Hart and Emmett Hart, and two sisters, Mrs. Laura E. Devaul and Mrs. Catherine Hendricks, all of Chester, and three grandchildren. Her husband died May 20, 1954.

Rites will be held Saturday at 3:30 p. m. in the Martin Funeral Home by the Rev. Hanes. Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home this afternoon and tonight.
